We’re seeking a detail-driven safety and compliance pro to steer operational excellence within a fast-paced Vehicle Ops environment. This role is built for someone who doesn’t just react to regulations—they anticipate, embed, and elevate them across teams and workflows.

As an Operational Safety Specialist, you’ll be the point person for all things compliance: from managing multi-jurisdictional permits and insurance, to partnering with legal, field ops, engineering, and HR to ensure safety protocols are seamlessly integrated and consistently met.

You’ll also lead the creation of internal systems that keep onboarding smooth, audits painless, and standards top of mind.

What You’ll Tackle

• Own registration, title, and insurance processes for a diverse vehicle fleet—including renewals and agency coordination
• Build and maintain centralized calendars for audits, permit deadlines, training cycles, and compliance milestones
• Design standardized compliance workflows across departments and ensure documentation is always audit-ready
• Partner with EH&S to update protocols, manage incident tracking, and create a safety-first culture across Vehicle Ops

Requirements

• 2+ years in safety, regulatory compliance, or operational risk within tech, logistics, mobility, or manufacturing
• Solid understanding of EH&S standards and familiarity with DOT, OSHA, DMV frameworks
• Proven project and stakeholder management abilities, with strong documentation skills
• Excellent communicator across technical and operational teams

Preferred

• Experience in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or high-growth startup environments
• Safety or compliance certifications (CSP, CHST, etc.)
• Familiarity with compliance tracking tools or alerting systems
