ResponsAble Staffing in Louisville, KY is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to lead the health and safety program for the Place & Finish Team. The role reports to the Director of Safety and focuses on building a culture of safety with training, meetings, and root cause analysis.

The candidate will ensure regulatory compliance, conduct risk assessments, and drive safety initiatives across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in OH&S preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of health and safety management experience, required in a construction environment.
  • Concrete experience is highly preferred.
  • OSHA 10/30/5-10 required.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement health and safety programs, policies, and procedures in line with legal requirements and company standards.
  • Drive initiatives to build and sustain a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization.
  • Provide training and support to employees and supervisors on principles and best practices.
  • Oversee the program to encourage proactive identification and reporting of potential hazards.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and other safety concerns to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain records and reports related to workplace injuries, incidents, and safety inspections.
  • Develop and conduct health and safety training programs for all employees, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Lead regular health and safety meetings and toolbox talks to reinforce safety awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop strategies to minimize risks and prevent accidents.

Louisville, KY DIRECT HIRE $ 40 per hour plus heavy OT & B enefits

We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager based in our Louisville, KY location on the Place & Finish Team.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Director of Safety, the S afety Specialist will develop and implement health and safety plans in line with legal guidelines and enforce policies that promote a culture of safety. Collaborating with S upervisors and Foremen , they will foster a "Safety First" mindset by encouraging best practices, providing training, leading health and safety meetings, and conducting root cause analyses to address and correct safety issues.

What you bring Required vs Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety - Preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in health and safety management, required in a c onstruction environment.
  • Concrete experience is highly Preferred
  • BCSP c ertifi cations or similar certifications are strongly preferred.
  • OSHA 10, 30, 5 10- Required
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards - Required
  • Proficiency with ISNetworld, Avetta - Preferred
  • Ability to influence and drive a culture of safety across the organization.
  • Proactive and results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and training skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
