Job summary

Bottleless Nation is seeking a Safety Specialist to monitor workplace activities and promote compliance with safety regulations and client safety requirements. You will identify opportunities to minimize injuries, conduct employee training, and support workers' compensation processes.

You will perform safety inspections, maintain certifications, draft internal standards, and keep training records. Travel to multiple locations may be required, with strong communication and organizational skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Health & Safety or related field.
• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and company safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries and health problems.
• Conduct employee training on applicable safety standards.
• Review current safety training and recommend revisions, improvements and updates.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits to assess compliance with safety regulations.
• Inspect safety equipment and recommend replacements as required.
• Draft and implement internal safety standards and policies.
• Review incidents reported by employees and visitors to the facility.
• Assist with Workers’ Compensation processes and reporting.
• Monitor and record certifications and training (OSHA, lift, toolbox talks).
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Safety Specialist monitors workplace activities as required to promote and ensure employee compliance with applicable safety regulations and coordinate client safety requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None.

Duties/ Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
• Conducts employee training on applicable safety standards.
• Reviews current safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
• Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
• Inspects safety equipment; recommends replacements as required.
• Drafts and implements internal safety standards and policies.
• Reviews accidents and incidents reported by employees and visitors to the facility.
• Assists Team Members through the Workers Compensation Process.
• Workers Compensation Reporting.
• Completing vendor packets for our client base to include online forms and Safety databases.
• Monitors and records all certifications and training, including lift, toolbox talks, and OSHA.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of current company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to conduct training.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
• One year of related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Travel to multiple locations as required.
