Job summary

Alo is hiring a Warehouse Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance of automated material handling systems at our Fulfillment Center. You will audit, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision to keep operations safe and efficient.

Candidates should have strong electrical and PLC knowledge, experience with three-phase systems up to 480VAC, and a background in conveyor or sortation systems. AAS in engineering or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GEDpreferred.
  • AAS in Engineering related field or military experience considered.
  • 5–10 years in mechanical/technical troubleshooting, maintenance, or installation.

Responsibilities

  • Audits, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated material handling systems within the Fulfillment Center.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using drawings and diagnostic tools.
  • Work with PLCs and I/O devices; escalate when needed.

OVERVIEW:

The Wareh ouse Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for performing, independently or with minimal guidance, audits, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated material handling system components within the Fulfillment Center. The tech represents and follows outlined company guidelines for general work practices and performs assigned duties in accordance with proper safe work practices. The Maintenance Supervisor takes initiative to coordinate maintenance activities with to ensure the safe and satisfactory completion of all tasks. The Maintenance Supervisor serves as a lead troubleshooter and provides onsite technical skills; therefore, the Maintenance Supervisor must have a thorough understanding of the product flow and operational goals to effectively support the Fulfillment Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists other Technicians and/or Mechanics in the repair and maintenance of equipment Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings and diagnostic tools
  • Responsible for performing, independently or with minimal guidance, audits, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated material handling system components within the Fulfillment Center.
  • Must have experience with 3 phase systems up to 480VAC including repair, installation and maintenance.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment according to safety and quality procedures.
  • Troubleshoots Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and external Input/output (I/O) devices
  • Provides resolutions to mechanical, technical/controls issues.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs key components for the Fulfillment Center
  • Participates in cleaning the conveyor systems and maintenance area as appropriate
  • Completes work orders, other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
  • Working at heights of 40ft or more will be required.
  • Assist with developing plans on how to accomplish department goals.
  • Must be willing and able to be certified on powered industrialequipment.
  • Maintains inventory of company supplied tools.
  • Performs general facility maintenance such as light bulb replacement, office furniture relocation, plumbing, electrical repairs, etc.
  • Other duties as instructed by supervision/management.
  • Adept at analyzing and resolving mechanical and technical issues
  • Excellent hand and eye coordination skills
  • Ability to read, recognize, write, and follow applicable numbers and directives (verbal and written) in English
  • Command of basic math skills to ensure accurate inventory
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends as necessary
  • Command of safety procedures (including lock-out/tag-out)
  • Frequent bending, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling of freight, standing for long periods of time
  • Safely utilize manual and electronic operated equipment to transport cartons or other items by means of pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • AAS in an Engineering related field or will consider experience in lieu of degree including military service.
  • 5-10 years of related experience in mechanical troubleshooting, technical troubleshooting, maintenance and/or installation is required.
  • Strong electrical background, knowledge of low voltage controls and PLC. Required prior experience and/or working knowledge of:
  • Conveyor and/or sortation
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting Solid electrical troubleshooting Solid controls troubleshooting
  • Preventative/predictive maintenance Modification and upgrade support Installation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Certificate(s)/License(s) in related fields such as Journeymen or Master Electrician, CMRP and/or CMRT, etc.
  • CMMS experience.
  • Preferred prior experience and/or working Knowledge of Allen Bradley and/or Siemens products
  • Network troubleshooting a plus.
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Experience working with and managing outside vendors, customers, and business partners
  • Prior working knowledge of current building vendors, software, platforms, and systems desired
  • Previous industry-based experience.
  • Must possess visual acuity to read fine print as needed.
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal instructions.
  • Must possess capability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to push or pull carts of up to 200 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and grasp products.
