Job summary

Marriott Vacations Worldwide is seeking a Safety & Security Officer to safeguard guests and associates while delivering exceptional service. You will patrol the property, respond to incidents, and support safety systems to ensure secure meeting spaces and comfort for Owners and guests.

The role requires physical readiness to lift up to 50 lbs, ability to work varied shifts including holidays, and adherence to safety policies. MSW values teamwork and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property by foot or vehicle using specified equipment.
• Administer first aid/CPR to Owner/guests or associates as required.
• Ensure Owner/guest and meeting rooms are secure and assist with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.
• Respond to accidents and determine if emergency aid is required.
• Defuse disturbances following company policies and procedures.
• Handle lost and found and logging/returning items.
• Operate computer systems and maintain written documents accurately.

As a Safety & Security Officer, a typical day will include: Patrols all areas of the property by foot or vehicle using specified equipment (e.g., flashlight, high visibility jacket). Administers first aid/CPR to Owner/guests or associates as required. Ensure Owner/guest and meeting rooms are secure and assist Owner/guests with room access. Monitors Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV), perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems. Responds to the scene of Owner/guest or associate accidents and determine if emergency aid is required. Defuses Owner/guest or associate disturbances/altercations following company policies and procedures. Handles lost and found, logging and returning items. Utilizes computer systems, prepares and reviews written documents accurately and completely; and answers the phone using proper telephone etiquette. Oversee OSHA & FLS violations to mitigate risks throughout the property.

To Become a Safety & Security Officer at MVW:

Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.

Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 50lbs without assistance.

Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
