Job summary

Marriott Vacations Worldwide is seeking a Safety & Security Officer to protect Owners/guests and property across our Florida locations. This role offers a supportive environment with competitive benefits and on-site perks.

You will patrol, monitor CCTV, respond to incidents, assist with access control, and perform first aid as needed. Shifts include holidays and weekends; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass background checks is required.

Qualifications

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to reach overhead, bend, twist, pull, and stand/sit/walk for extended periods.
• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull items up to 50 lbs without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property by foot or vehicle.
• Administers first aid/CPR to guests or associates as required.
• Ensure owner/guest and meeting rooms are secure and assist with room access.
• Monitors CCTV, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.
• Respond to accidents and determine if emergency aid is required.

As a Safety & Security Officer, a typical day will include:

• Patrols all areas of the property by foot or vehicle using specified equipment (e.g., flashlight, high visibility jacket).
• Administers first aid/CPR to Owner/guests or associates as required.
• Ensure Owner/guest and meeting rooms are secure and assist Owner/guests with room access.
• Monitors Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV), perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.
• Responds to the scene of Owner/guest or associate accidents and determine if emergency aid is required.
• Defuses Owner/guest or associate disturbances/altercations following company policies and procedures.
• Handles lost and found, logging and returning items.
• Utilizes computer systems, prepares and reviews written documents accurately and completely; and answers the phone using proper telephone etiquette.
• Oversee OSHA & FLS violations to mitigate risks throughout the property.

• Welcome and greet guests and anticipate and address their needs.
• Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
• Contribute to team goals.
• Always follow company policies and safety procedures.

To Become a Safety & Security Officer at MVW:

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 50lbs without assistance.
• Position may require background and drug screening contingent in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
• Specific job duties may differ by property, size of team, or facility.
