Job summary

Ridgecrest Conference Center is seeking Safety Attendants to help provide a safe, hospitable environment for guests and staff during events. This role covers evening and overnight shifts, gate and crowd control, basic first aid, incident reporting, and coordination with emergency responders as needed.

You will conduct patrols by vehicle and on foot, monitor alarms, and ensure doors are secured. Availability on weekends and holidays is required; starting pay is $16.00 per hour and may be higher

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/First aid certified and Bloodborne Pathogens trained.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of fire codes, safety, OSHA regulations.
• Ability to handle high stress and emergencies.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent customer service and public relations.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and scheduling.
• Good organization to manage gates, patrols, and responses.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with friendly customer service and provide information.
• Maintain gate coverage when guests are on property.
• Monitor entrance and deter unsafe behavior.
• Assist with crowd and traffic control during events.
• Conduct routine safety patrols by vehicle and on foot.
• Follow gate operations, reset circuit breakers, patrol cemetery, respond to fire alarms.
• Administer basic first aid and document incidents.
• Report vehicle accidents to Highway Patrol per protocol.
• Ensure buildings are secured by scheduled lock/unlock procedures.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Our Safety Attendants provide safety, comfort and a healthy environment to the Conference Center and Camp guests and employees. This role is key to providing a safe environment for our guests to host events and 'Impacting Lives for God's Glory through Purposeful Hospitality!'

Join Our Team! We're looking for dependable Team Members to fill our evening and overnight shifts:

• Evening Shift: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Overnight Shift: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM

Availability on weekends and holidays is required.

Starting pay begins at $16.00 per hour and may be higher depending on experience.

Essential Job Duties

• Welcome guests with friendly, helpful customer service and provide general information upon entry. Ensure maximum gate coverage whenever guests are on property.
• Monitor and maintain control at the entrance to deter and prevent unsafe or inappropriate behavior on Ridgecrest property.
• Assist with crowd and traffic control during peak times, events, or emergencies.
• Conduct routine safety patrols by vehicle and on foot, both on and off campus.
• Follow established procedures for gate operations, resetting circuit breakers, patrolling the cemetery, and responding to fire alarms.
• Administer basic first aid as needed and respond to guest incidents by investigating and documenting accidents.
• In the event of a vehicle accident involving a guest, report details to the Highway Patrol in accordance with protocol.
• Ensure buildings are secured by performing scheduled lock and unlock procedures.
• Completes other duties as assigned

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Graduate
• Must be first aid/CPR certified and Blood borne trained
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Knowledgeable in areas of fire codes, safety, OSHA regulations
• Able to perform under high levels of stress
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, essential for interacting with guests, staff, and emergency personnel
• Strong customer service and public relations skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming and safe environment for conference attendees
• Basic computer proficiency for reporting, communication, and accessing scheduling or incident management systems
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities such as gate operations, patrols, and response protocols effectively

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, as the role involves moving throughout the facility and performing hands-on tasks.
• Must be able to work long hours, including standing, walking, and performing physical tasks continuously throughout the shift.
• Must be comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings, and under varying temperatures and weather conditions
