Responsible for leading Phoenix Steel Erectors safety programs and initiatives.
- Management and hiring of support staff to fulfill full time safety requirements, perform scorable audits on Phoenix Steel Erectors jobsites, and support project management team in all thing’s safety.
- Perform annual and periodic review of Phoenix Steel safety documents (Company Safety Manual, AHA, Procedures, etc.)
- Perform daily/weekly scorable audits of project sites and supervisors that can be used during annual reviews. Audit should be distributed to project management team and made available to executive management.
- Perform and document inspections of jobsite PPE to ensure harnesses, retractables, etc. are in good working order.
- Address and take lead on any safety item kickbacks from review of PSE submittals.
- Lead incident response and reporting for PSE teams.
- Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses.
- Document findings and recommend corrective measures.
- Draft RCA’s and follow up documents to address any incidents with general contractors.
- Establish/document Phoenix Steel Erectors training program and communicate to new hires, field management, and executive management.
- Continue education on safety, participate in construction industry safety events, and ensure safety safe meets industry standards.
- Schedule and send calendar invite for executive management safety walks.
- Consider and plan companywide safety events.

- Stay on top of new OSHA requirements and formulate plans for staying compliant.
- MOSH Heat Requirements
Responsible for tracking/handling claims, being familiar and assisting executive management with insurance coverage, and maintaining corporate logs/documents required by government organizations.
- Submit, monitor, and manage all claims to insurance companies.
- Detailed accounts of doctor visits.
- Participation in getting workers into light duty program ASAP.
- Question reserves and open claims in an effort to get things closed out.
