Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Field Construction Safety Representative for a 12+ month Vanderbilt University campus project in Nashville, TN. This 1099 contractor role focuses on on-site safety support for plumbing and mechanical construction activities, with a 1st shift schedule and 40 hours per week.

You will perform field observations, inspections, hazard identifications, and reporting, maintaining a strong field presence while coordinating with craft personnel and field

Competenze

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification required.
• Minimum 3+ years of commercial construction safety experience.
• Ability to maintain a strong field presence on site.

Mansioni

• Provide daily field safety support for plumbing and mechanical construction activities.
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas.
• Conduct routine site inspections, safety observations, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor plumbing, piping, mechanical equipment installation, and material handling activities.
• Review JHAs, pre-task plans, permits, and applicable safety documentation.
• Identify unsafe conditions and communicate findings to field supervision.
• Track observations and support corrective action follow-up.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.

• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain required inspection records, observations, and safety reports.

Field Construction Safety Representative

Location: Nashville, TN | Vanderbilt University Campus
Duration: 12+ Months (Start: Immediate Need)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $56/hr
Per Diem: None
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 1st Shift | 40 Hours Per Week

Required Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification
• Minimum 3+ Years of Commercial Construction Safety Experience
• Ability to Maintain a Strong Field Presence

• Mechanical Construction Safety Experience
• Commercial Building Construction Experience
• Higher Education / Campus Construction Experience
• CHST, ASP, CSP, STSC, or Other BCSP Credential
• Multi-Trade Construction Experience
