Job summary

LMK Recruiting Solutions is seeking a strategic Director of Safety to design and lead a company-wide program across all projects. This leadership role focuses on system-building, training curricula, policies, and a culture that prevents incidents before they happen.

You will translate OSHA 1926 and NYC regulations into scalable documentation, KPIs, and proactive processes, partnering with project executives and site managers to ensure practical implementation and measurable improvement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive construction safety experience with program development
• Deep knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards and NYC DOB/Local Law safety rules
• Proven track record building or overhauling safety programs and docs
• Strong data and reporting skills with dashboards and exec reports
• Excellent written communication for clear training materials
• Experience across multiple concurrent commercial/residential projects

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and continuously improve company-wide safety systems and SOPs
• Build scalable safety training curricula for hires, supervisors, subcontractors, and executives
• Develop onboarding safety protocols and certification tracking (OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR)
• Create JHAs, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning templates for all sites
• Present safety performance and KPIs to executive leadership and partners
