Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification required; OSHA 500 preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of safety management experience, preferably in construction or HVAC.
• Experience conducting investigations, safety audits, and training programs.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and safety regulations and standards.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and workers’ compensation claims; implement corrective actions.
• Manage relationships with external safety vendors and providers to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
• Coordinate third-party safety vendors and safety training programs.
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing employee education.
• Maintain safety records, OSHA logs, and documentation.
• Partner with project managers and field leadership to promote safe work practices.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety requirements.
• Develop corrective action plans and ensure resolution of safety concerns.
• Serve as primary contact for safety matters and regulatory inspections.
• Assist with emergency response planning and incident management.
• Analyze safety trends and recommend improvement strategies.
