Job summary

CEEUS Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator in West Columbia, SC to build and maintain a safe, compliant work environment across distribution and warehouse operations.

You will proactively identify hazards, investigate incidents, and develop practical safety policies and training in partnership with HR, Operations, Facilities, and Fleet. This role requires knowledge of OSHA and DOT requirements, incident investigations, workers' compensation coordination, and a strong ability to implement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Industrial Safety, or related field.
• I CSP, ASP, CHST, or other recognized professional safety certification.
• OSHA 30-hour or other advanced OSHA training.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining safety policies and programs.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Experience coordinating workers’ compensation claims.
• Experience in multi-location distribution or warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve safety policies, procedures, programs, and practices.
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, environmental, and other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, job safety analyses, and workplace observations.
• Investigate workplace injuries, near-misses, property damage, equipment incidents, and other events; identify causes and corrective actions.
• Track hazards and corrective actions through completion and follow-up.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation claims with HR, medical providers, and insurers.
• Coordinate with HR and leaders on safety expectations, return-to-work matters, and accountability.
• Support safety requirements across distribution and warehouse operations (materials handling, powered trucks, ergonomics, etc.).
• Maintain emergency preparedness and response procedures and coordinate training and drills.
• Develop and deliver safety training and promote hazard reporting and safety initiatives.
• Monitor safety data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
