Job summary

CEEUS Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator based in West Columbia, SC, to lead safety across our distribution and warehouse operations.

You will develop policies, perform hazard analyses, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions in collaboration with HR, Operations, and Facilities. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field, along with certifications such as CSP/ASP/CHST and OSHA 30-hour.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
CSP, ASP, CHST or similar safety certification.
OSHA 30-hour or equivalent training.
First Aid, CPR, AED certification required.
Strong safety program development and incident investigation experience.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, programs, and practices that support a safe and compliant work environment.
Maintain working knowledge of OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, environmental, and other regulatory requirements and ensure safety practices reflect those requirements.
Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments, job safety analyses, and workplace observations to identify risks and implement controls.
Investigate workplace injuries, near-misses, property damage, equipment incidents, and other safety events; identify root causes and corrective actions.
Track hazards and corrective actions through completion and follow-up.
Coordinate workers’ compensation claims with HR, employees, medical providers, insurance carriers, and others.
Partner with HR and operations leaders on safety expectations, work restrictions, and return-to-work matters.
Support safety requirements across distribution and warehouse operations, including material handling and equipment safety.
Maintain emergency preparedness and response procedures, training, drills, and resources.
Develop and deliver safety training and promote employee participation in hazard reporting and safety initiatives.
Monitor safety data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Coordinate environmental, waste management, and hazardous material practices and documentation.
Communicate safety risks, trends, incidents, and recommendations to HR and leadership.
Partner with HR, Operations, Facilities, and others to promote accountability and a strong safety culture.
