Job summary

Entergy in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Safety Supervisor to develop and execute safety programs, oversee safety specialists, and drive accountability across a large capital portfolio.

You will lead root-cause analyses, coordinate safety initiatives with state and regional leaders, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and Entergy's safety rules.

This role requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, 4 years of related work, and preferred CST/COSS/CSP designations.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum experience: 4 years of related work experience.
• Preferred: 4 years transmission or distribution (T&D) line or engineering experience, or equivalent safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of safety specialists and reporting.
• Interpret OSHA regulations and Entergy safe work rules.
• Analyze safety data to identify gaps and closures.
• Lead root-cause analysis for safety events and injuries.
• Lead Safety Advisory Boards and safety initiatives.
• Coordinate safety resources with state and regional leadership.
• Monitor safety trend reports for program development.
• Contribute to corrective action ownership and closure.
• Coordinate safety training, updates, and workshops.
• Perform administrative duties (time approvals, expense, appraisals).
• Lead enterprise safety initiatives across the system.
