Job summary

Yokogawa is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead environmental health and safety programs across manufacturing sites. You will coordinate risk assessments, lead incident investigations, and support ISO 9001/14001/45001 systems.

The role collaborates with Operations, Engineering, HR, and Quality to drive compliance, training, and continuous improvement, ensuring safe operations and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Quality, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in EHS, Quality, or manufacturing operations.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and manufacturing compliance requirements.
• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain risk assessment processes, including Hazard Identification, JSA/JHA, and operational risk evaluations.
• Lead assigned incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and closure verification.
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management system activities, audits, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate EHS inspections, compliance activities, environmental programs, emergency preparedness, and training initiatives.
• Support Management of Change reviews involving equipment, processes, chemicals, and facility modifications.
• Collect, analyze, and report EHS and operational performance metrics.
• Provide EHS guidance for contractor safety, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, PPE, hazard communication, and other operational controls.
• Support assigned Quality Management System activities, including internal audits, document control, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with investigations involving nonconforming products, customer complaints, and process quality issues when assigned.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, Supply Chain, and Quality personnel to promote compliance and continual improvement.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible EHS presence in manufacturing, warehouse, laboratory, maintenance, and other operational areas.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety observations, hazard assessments, risk assessments, and JSA JHAs.
• Identify unsafe conditions and practices, communicate findings, and coordinate corrective actions through closure.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, property damage events and near misses and maintain supporting documentation.
• Deliver new-hire orientation, regulatory training toolbox talks and employee-awareness activities.
• Monitor site implementation of Lockout Tagout, machine guarding, electrical safety, PPE Hazard Communication, confined-space, hot-work, powered-industrial-truck, ergonomics and contractor-safety requirements.
• Review new equipment processes chemicals and facility changes for EHS risks and required controls.
• Maintain training records, inspection, documents permits, Safety Data Sheets, investigation files and compliance records.
• Monitor emergency equipment and support drills evacuations and response-readiness activities.
• Collect verify analyze and report site EHS metrics trends and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in production engineering facilities quality HR and operational meetings as needed.
• Provide practical EHS guidance to employees’ supervisors and site leadership and escalation significant or unresolved concerns.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Quality, Industrial Technology, or related field.
