Job summary

Medcor Safety, a subsidiary of Medcor, is seeking an experienced Safety Professional for a short-term construction project in New Albany, Ohio, supporting a large-scale data center construction. This role works under a Lead Safety Professional on a project managed by an electrical contractor and a field team.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong field relationships, and takes a proactive approach to preventing hazards while ensuring OSHA and client compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction safety experience.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction safety regulations and jobsite hazard prevention.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with project leadership and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Partner with field crews, supervisors, subcontractors, and project management to promote a strong safety culture.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety policies, and client requirements.
• Document safety observations, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Review and maintain employee safety training records and required documentation.
• Assist with incident investigations, accident reports, and safety communications.
• Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and project safety orientations.
• Support the development and implementation of Site-Specific Safety Plans.
• Recognize safe work practices and proactively address unsafe conditions or behaviors.
• Collaborate with the Lead Safety Professional to ensure project safety expectations are consistently met.
