Job summary

Medcor Safety, a subsidiary of Medcor, is seeking a Safety Professional for a short-term data center construction project in New Albany, OH. The role reports to a Lead Safety Professional and offers a competitive hourly rate with a generous per diem.

The position requires 3–5 years of construction safety experience, CPR/First Aid, and strong familiarity with OSHA regulations. Expect long weeks (50–60 hours) and potential night shifts on a 3–4 month engagement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant construction safety experience.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction safety regulations and jobsite hazard prevention.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with project leadership and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Partner with field crews, supervisors, subcontractors, and project management to promote a strong safety culture.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety policies, and client requirements.
• Document safety observations, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
• Review and maintain employee safety training records and required documentation.
• Assist with incident investigations, accident reports, and safety communications.
• Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and project safety orientations.
• Support the development and implementation of Site-Specific Safety Plans.
• Recognize safe work practices and proactively address unsafe conditions or behaviors.
• Collaborate with the Lead Safety Professional to ensure project safety expectations are consistently met.
