Job summary

CE2 Corporation seeks a Safety Professional to support laser upgrade projects in Berkeley, CA. The role focuses on building and managing the safety program, performing hazard analyses, and ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work daily on-site, coordinate with engineering teams, develop work packages, and uphold safety standards under DOE guidelines while supporting readiness and project closeout.

Qualifications

  • Experience at DOE, Nuclear, accelerator or similar facilities.
  • Prior experience managing safety for complex technical projects governed by DOE O 413.3B.
  • 5 years of prior Facilities / Safety Management.
  • Must be a US Citizen for security clearance.
  • Must be able to report to work daily in Berkeley CA M-F during normal business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate hazards associated with project to mitigate risk and establish controls.
  • Perform work planning and control activities for assigned project including development and review of work packages, identifying controls, readiness verification, field coordination and confirmation that work is executed according to standards.
  • Participate in engineering and design reviews to evaluate safety consideration through project lifecycle.
  • Provide oversight and assistance regarding regulatory compliance
  • Provide technical support for project and operational readiness and DOE review support ensuring DOE O413.3B guidelines are followed.
  • Oversee incident prevention and corrective actions including continuous improvement to ensure safety.
  • Own all safety documentation in relation to laser upgrade project
  • Attend and participate in project meetings

Pay Rate $90.00 per hour
