Job summary

ESCO Electric in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Safety & Operations Coordinator to support safe and efficient project execution. You will coordinate workforce, safety administration, logistics, documentation, and plant interfaces to enable smooth operations.

This role works closely with safety management and division leaders. The position requires coordination across plant personnel, project teams, subcontractors, and labor representatives to maintain compliance and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, utility, or maintenance environments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Knowledge of safety programs and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and document management systems.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers, plant personnel, contractors, and labor organizations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule new employee safety orientations.
• Facilitate required safety training and refresher programs.
• Maintain employee training records and certifications.
• Conduct safety observations and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support implementation of company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with incident documentation and corrective action tracking.
• Coordinate manpower requests with union halls and staffing resources.
• Track workforce levels and project staffing needs.
• Schedule and coordinate project meetings, outage planning sessions.
• Maintain project schedules, milestone tracking, and status reports.
• Coordinate communication between project teams and plant personnel.
• Escalate schedule, resource, or logistical concerns to management.
• Coordinate equipment rentals and transportation requirements.
• Coordinate material orders, deliveries and site logistics.
• Maintain project documentation and filing systems.
• Coordinate permit acquisition and tracking.
• Ensure required project records are properly maintained.
• Serve as a primary administrative point of contact between plant operations and project teams.
