Uber is seeking a data-driven professional to join its Safety Operations team in San Francisco, focusing on safety across the US and Canada for both mobility and delivery. The role emphasizes translating data insights into actionable improvements and eliminating root causes that impact safety and user experiences.
You will lead initiatives, collaborate with product and data teams, and drive strategic improvements in safety processes.
We are searching for an analytically minded, highly motivated individual to join our Safety Operations team! This team focuses on the safety landscape in the United States and Canada, covering both on-trip safety and platform access safety for the Mobility and Delivery businesses.
In this role you will need to have a firm foundation in data analysis, proven ability to translate the “what” into the “so what”, and a passion for eliminating root causes that lead to safety incidents and poor user experiences on the platform. You will work closely with safety and business partners to identify root causes to safety trends, measure the success of controls we have in place to mitigate risk on the platform, and develop strategic business recommendations to address gaps in our safety processes and concerning trends. You will have autonomy to find opportunity areas and independently work with product and data teams to craft strategic ways to mitigate risk on the Platform. Your work will ultimately cultivate safer user experiences on the platform!
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $106,000 per year – USD $118,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of compensation. All full‑time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
Offices remain key to collaboration and Uber's culture. Unless approved for full remote work, employees must spend at least 50% of their time in‑office. Some roles, like those at greenlight hubs, require full‑time in‑office presence. Ask your Recruiter for details about this role's requirements.
