LaBella Associates is seeking a diligent Safety Observer to join our Program Management division for various construction and civil projects across New York State. The Safety Observer will monitor and promote safety protocols on-site, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and foster a culture of safety awareness among team members.

The position offers a salary range of $85,000 to $125,000 per year, with benefits including health and dental insurance, 401k with employer match, paid time off,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in safety observation or related field in the construction industry.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction certificate.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on project sites.
• Observe and report on compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Create and deliver safety training sessions as necessary.
• Participate in safety meetings and briefings.
• Document safety incidents and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with project teams to address safety issues proactively.

The Safety Observer will be responsible for monitoring and promoting safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a culture of safety awareness among team members.

The successful candidate will work closely with our client's management and labor teams to identify safety concerns and implement corrective actions to promote a safe working environment.
