Job summary

HELP USA is seeking a Safety Monitor Supervisor at our Bellport, NY location to lead the Safety Monitors and Assistant Supervisors on duty, ensure safety and welcome residents as part of the Safety Team. This is a full-time role with a consistent 40-hour week in the same location, with two consecutive days off.

You’ll supervise staff, assist in training, maintain daily coverage, document issues, and submit incident and patrol reports in a timely manner, helping to uphold policies and procedures

Qualifications

• New York State Security Guard License is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent OR equivalent experience and skills.
• Experience or ability to work with people experiencing homelessness.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervising Safety Monitors and Assistant Supervisors on duty to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Assisting in development of training sessions for Safety Team.
• Ensuring minimum daily staff coverage.
• Documenting individual staff problems as necessary.

What You’ll Do

As a Safety Monitor Supervisor with HELP USA, you'll oversee Safety Monitors at your assigned location. A member of our Safety Team is usually the first contact with our residents when they enter one of our facilities. In addition to ensuring residents' safety, our Safety Team helps our residents feel welcome and sets the tone for their stay. It is critical that our Safety Team members are alert, vigilant, and courteous to our residents. Responsibilities include patrolling facility grounds, ensuring residents and guests are properly signed in, escorting visitors to proper destinations, conducting unit inspections, maintaining accurate documentation and preparing incident reports when necessary.

Your responsibilities will include:
