Qualifications

  • Provide technical safety guidance related to construction activities and regulations.
  • Review JHAs, DHAs, AHAs, and other site safety documentation.
  • Plan for high‑risk activities and implement hazard controls.
  • Develop and maintain site safety and emergency plans.
  • Support emergency response planning and site access coordination.
  • Provide safety performance updates and trend analyses to leadership.
  • Mentor and develop site safety personnel.

Safety Worxs is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager in Ravensdale, Washingtonto support a construction project and provide hands‑on safety leadership in the field. This position will oversee site safety programs, ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and project requirements, and partner closely with project leadership and field teams to maintain a strong safety culture.

The ideal candidate is an experienced construction safety professional who is comfortable leading teams, identifying and mitigating risk, providing training, and maintaining a visible presence in active construction environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the project safety program, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain a strong field presence and work closely with project management, supervision, subcontractors, and craft personnel to promote safe work practices.

  • Develop, review, and maintain site‑specific safety, emergency response, and evacuation plans.
  • Support emergency response planning, including site access and emergency vehicle coordination.
  • Provide safety performance updates, trend analysis, and recommendations to project leadership.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop site safety personnel while assigning responsibilities based on project needs.
  • Ensure safety equipment and supplies are available, maintained, and appropriate for planned construction activities.
  • Promote continuous improvement of safety processes, procedures, and overall project safety performance.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of construction safety experience required.
  • Previous experience in a Safety Manager, Health & Safety Manager, or similar leadership role on active construction projects.
  • EM 385-1-1 experience required.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring safety professionals.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, equipment, and high‑risk activities.
  • Proven ability to identify jobsite hazards and develop practical, compliant mitigation strategies.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations, safety audits, inspections, and training.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with project leadership, field supervision, craft personnel, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in an active construction environment and maintain a consistent field presence.
