Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety across two New Jersey sites, splitting time between Trenton and Titusville. You will lead safety programs, guide contractor safety performance, and drive risk reduction through audits, investigations, and proactive safety talks.

You will collaborate with project directors and site teams, travel between locations as needed, and contribute to incidents investigations and safety education initiatives.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.
• OSHA 510 required.
• Experience managing construction safety and overseeing contractor safety programs.
• Strong knowledge of applicable construction health and safety regulations.
• Experience with audits, incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project leadership to identify construction safety risks and address emerging concerns.
• Oversee contractor safety performance and compliance with regulations, site requirements, and safety plans.
• Conduct regular site audits, safety inspections, and toolbox talks.

Responsibilities

Construction Safety Manager — Trenton / Titusville, NJ

HazTek is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to support construction projects across two locations in Trenton and Titusville, NJ. This position will split time approximately 50/50 between the sites and provide safety leadership, contractor oversight, and project-level support to help teams identify risks and maintain safe working conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with project leadership to identify construction safety risks and address emerging concerns.
• Oversee contractor safety performance and compliance with applicable regulations, site requirements, and construction safety plans.
• Conduct regular site audits, safety inspections, and toolbox talks.
• Monitor leading and lagging safety indicators, develop performance metrics, and communicate concerns to project leadership.
• Lead project safety performance reviews and develop and deliver construction safety presentations.
• Support incident investigations and monitor corrective actions through completion.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams as a construction safety subject matter expert.
• Participate in safety reviews during project design and planning.
• Implement safety initiatives and share best practices and lessons learned across projects.
