McGough Construction in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Safety Manager to lead environmental, health and safety programs across multiple projects. You will enforce policies, assess hazards and coordinate with project teams to prevent incidents.

The role requires a four-year degree in safety or a related field, 5+ years of construction safety experience, OSHA 500, First Aid/CPR/BBP, and ASP or CSP within 2 years. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead and enforce safety on multiple projects per staffing defined by Safety Director.
  • Identify and mitigate hazardous conditions using job-specific safety standards and training.
  • Partner with project executives, managers, superintendents and foremen.
  • Mentor and coach onsite crew; build relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Hold pre-construction safety planning meetings and review site safety programs.
  • Participate in OSHA inspections and incident investigations.
  • Provide technical and administrative direction to on-site safety personnel.
  • Maintain safety records and administer training programs.
  • Pass customer background and security screenings as required.
