The ideal candidate will have OSHA 30 and GC safety management experience, with credentials such as CHST/ASP/CSP/STSC or BCSP, and a track record in multi-trade safety coordination and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification is required.
• Experience as a General Contractor Safety Manager on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the General Contractor's onsite safety representative.
• Provide daily field safety oversight across all active trades and subcontractors.
• Maintain a highly visible safety presence in active work areas.
• Monitor structural steel erection, elevated work, rigging, and material handling.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Review JHAs, pre-task plans, permits, and safety documentation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and project requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
• Coach field personnel on safe work practices.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management and subs.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation and inspection records.

Construction Safety Manager

Location: Mobile, AL
Duration: 6 Months (Start: Immediate Need)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $58/hr
Per Diem: None
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 10-Hour Days
Additional Schedule Details: Saturdays as needed based on project schedule and construction demands.
