Job description

This role is onsite 5 days a week in Fremont, CA

About the Role

Weee! is looking for a Safety Manager, Logistics to develop, implement, and oversee the workplace safety programs to ensure seamless compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and other key regulations. The ideal candidate will proactively identify risks, champion best practices and guide the business in fostering a culture of safety across all transportation and warehouse activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement driver safety programs, including designing safety policies, procedures, and training programs for Last Mile Logistics operations.
  • Coach Logistics management team on establishing safety measures, covering emergency procedures and workplace safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and other federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Establish inspection policies and conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and site inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work with the Logistics Leadership Team to set key safety priorities with KPIs to align with corporate strategies.
  • Maintain and analyze safety metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; conduct root cause analysis to develop preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with the Process Engineering Team to improve process design and systems/tools.
  • Ensure safety recordkeeping and data integrity to support business safety programs.
  • Develop safety risk management programs to enhance long-term safety strategies and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of safety management experience in logistics, transportation, or warehousing.
  • Experience with safety management with different driver types (W2 drivers, 1099, DSP, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and industry safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to influence a culture of safety.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop preventive strategies.
  • Experience conducting training and safety programs.
  • Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or OSHA 30/OSHA 500 are a plus.
  • Proficiency in safety management systems and reporting tools.

Compensation Range

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $116,000 - $145,000.
  • This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, incentives, and benefits.
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
