Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking a Safety Manager in Boise, ID to oversee safety across multiple projects in the wider Boise area, lead safety personnel and drive a strong safety culture on site. This role reports to senior leadership and requires hands-on leadership across field teams.

You will conduct site inspections, investigations and audits, deliver OSHA-compliant training, and partner with the Regional Safety Director to monitor key safety metrics.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of proven safety management on major construction projects.
• CSP or CHST required.
• Boise, ID-based with willingness to travel within the Boise area.

Responsibilities

A leading MEP contractor is looking to appoint a Safety Manager in Boise, ID. You will be responsible for overseeing safety across several projects in the region, leading safety personnel, to ensure a strong safety culture and performance amongst the job-site teams. The Role:

• Undertake job site inspections, accident investigations and audits as deemed necessary - putting forward corrective actions to continually develop the safety program and culture
• Work in partnership with the Regional Safety Director in highlighting key safety metrics/trends on projects, which will be reported back to senior leadership
• Conduct new hire-orientation and implement training programs in compliance with all OSHA requirements
• Engage with all operational leadership, job-site teams, GC and the client in regards to safety related matters - acting as the technical expert for any issues that may arise

The Candidate:

• A minimum of 8-10 years proven experience managing safety on major construction projects. MEP experience highly desired.
• CSP or CHST (Required)
• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering or other related discipline (preferred)
• A strong communicator who can engage with both key internal and external stakeholders
• Based in Boise, ID and happy to travel to projects across the wider Boise area
