Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Safety Manager in Atlanta, GA to lead the health and safety strategy across multiple projects. The role reports to the Regional Quality Manager and focuses on improving safety performance through audits, investigations, and behavioral safety initiatives.

You will develop site-specific safety plans, ensure OSHA compliance, and coordinate training programs while maintaining records and collaborating with clients and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required.
  • Minimum 7 years Health & Safety experience in material handling, industrial manufacturing, engineering, or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and OSHA investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote a strong behavioral-based safety culture across the business.
  • Develop, implement and review site-specific safety plans and Health & Safety policies.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, corporate standards, and client safety requirements.
  • Conduct incident investigations, root cause analyses, and oversee accident management processes.
  • Carry out site safety audits and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain safety records, prepare reports, and monitor key Health & Safety performance metrics.
  • Lead the Safety Committee and build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Coordinate safety training programmes and maintain statutory training records.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Safety Manager to join our team. This position is well-suited to a proactive, influential leader who is looking to drive a positive safety culture and make a measurable impact across multiple projects and sites.

This position is based in the Health & Safety department and reports to the Regional Quality Manager. You will lead the company’s health and safety strategy, ensure compliance with OSHA and corporate standards, and continuously improve safety performance through audits, investigations, training, and behavioral safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Minimum 7 years Health & Safety experience within material handling, industrial manufacturing, engineering, or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience conducting OSHA investigations.
  • Experience implementing behavioral-based safety programmes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
  • Certified OSHA Outreach Trainer.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 knowledge or certification.
  • Experience with automated material handling systems.
  • 10+ years of Health & Safety experience.
