Job summary

SAI Gulf LLC in Metairie, LA is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to strengthen our safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance across field, lab and corporate operations. You will provide technical safety guidance, develop programs, and coordinate training to meet client expectations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in safety, knowledge of OSHA standards, and CSP preferred. This role requires travel and hands-on risk management to achieve zero incidents.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of safety experience in relevant industries.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, MSDS/SDS, and contractor compliance platforms (e.g., ISNetworld).
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• CSP certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety support and guidance to field, laboratory, corporate employees, and contractors/temporary staff.
• Maintain and update corporate safety resources, including manuals, training materials, regulatory documentation, and videos.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for new and existing policies and procedures.
• Promote safety awareness through internal communications and safety initiatives.
• Monitor federal and state OSHA regulations; track and implement regulatory updates as required.
• Support personnel in maintaining compliance with applicable safety regulations.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to company programs and regulatory requirements.
• Review injury, illness, and incident reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Perform gap analyses of client safety programs and recommend improvements.
• Develop procedures and programs aimed at achieving zero incidents.
• Conduct routine site visits to identify hazards and ensure safe operations.
• Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Manage and track key safety performance indicators (KPIs).
• Develop project-specific safety plans and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
• Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Travel as required
