Job summary

Conductor Power seeks a Safety Manager to lead the day-to-day EHS program on assigned projects, acting as the onsite safety leader and primary client contact. You will ensure CPSMS requirements and client expectations are met while driving safety culture and compliance across the jobsite.

The role requires strong field presence, OSHA NFPA 70E expertise, and the ability to travel up to 75%. You will mentor safety staff and coordinate with subcontractors to uphold regulatory readiness and robust

Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated project EHS leader and ensure full CPSMS implementation.
• Provide daily field leadership to identify hazards and verify controls.
• Act as the primary client-facing safety contact for the project.
• Lead project safety planning and support high-risk activity planning.
• Conduct and oversee routine safety inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action tracking.
• Ensure OSHA and regulatory readiness and support during inspections.
• Deliver onboarding, toolbox talks, and safety communications.
• Mentor Safety Representatives and Coordinators on the project.
• Maintain audit-ready safety documentation and reporting.
• Provide routine reporting to the Regional EHS Manager.

Job Summary

The Safety Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and execution of Conductor Power’s EHS program on assigned project(s). This role serves as the primary onsite EHS leader and client-facing safety point of contact, ensuring CPSMS requirements and client expectations are implemented consistently.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Provides direct leadership, coaching, and oversight to Safety Representatives and Safety Coordinators assigned to the project, ensuring consistent execution of Conductor Power's EHS program and regulatory compliance. Partners with project leadership and subcontractors to promote accountability, reinforce safe work practices, and foster a strong culture of safety across the jobsite.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated project EHS leader and ensure full CPSMS implementation.
• Provide daily field leadership to identify hazards and verify controls.
• Act as the primary client-facing safety contact for the project.
• Lead project safety planning and support high-risk activity planning.
• Conduct and oversee routine safety inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
• Lead incident response, investigations, corrective action development and tracking.
• Ensure OSHA and regulatory readiness, including support during inspections.
• Deliver and oversee onboarding, training, toolbox talks, and safety communications.
• Lead corrective action closeout and verification processes.
• Mentor and oversee Safety Representatives and Safety Coordinators assigned to the project.
• Support subcontractor safety compliance and enforcement.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and planning discussions.
• Maintain audit-ready safety documentation and reporting.
• Provide routine reporting to the Regional EHS Manager.

Requirements

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards.
• Ability to lead incident response and investigations.
• Strong documentation and compliance skills.
• Strong client-facing communication skills.
• OSHA 500 required.
• NFPA 70E required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED required.
• Ability to travel full-time.

Preferred Qualifications

• CHST or ASP preferred; CSP a plus.
• Renewable construction experience (solar, BESS, substation).
• Experience supporting OSHA inspections.
• Experience leading safety staff onsite.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of construction safety experience with strong field presence.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly travel to active construction sites and project locations, including overnight travel as needed, and work in outdoor environments with varying weather conditions.
• Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs/ladders, navigate uneven terrain, and access elevated work areas while performing site inspections and safety observations.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safely navigate active construction areas, including exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold, and other environmental conditions.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, reaching, and occasionally lifting or carrying materials up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods to complete documentation, reporting, and communication responsibilities.

Travel

• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%) to support project teams, perform field assessments, and ensure consistent EHS program execution across the region.
