Insight Global is recruiting a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager for a premier manufacturing facility in the Richmond, VA area. This hands-on role leads site-wide safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives, partnering with operations to drive measurable improvements.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in a related field and 3–5+ years of HSE experience, with strong knowledge of OSHA, environmental regs, and safety management systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of HSE experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership and employee engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide HSE programs and promote a strong safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, regulatory, and internal standards.
• Oversee incident investigations, workers' compensation, audits, inspections and reporting.
• Manage safety and environmental programs including contractor safety, LOTO, hearing conservation, chemical management and permitting.
• Lead internal and external audits and implement corrective action plans.
• Develop and deliver safety training for employees and leadership.
• Serve as the primary HSE resource for the facility, partnering with leadership.
• Maintain environmental records, permits, certifications, and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with site leadership to set annual HSE objectives and continuous improvement.

Insight Global is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to join a leading manufacturing organization in the Richmond, VA area. This individual will play a critical role in driving a culture of safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement across a dynamic production facility. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on safety professional who enjoys partnering with operations teams, leading site‑wide initiatives, and making a measurable impact on workplace safety and environmental performance.

What You\'ll Do

• Lead site-wide health, safety, and environmental programs while promoting a strong safety-first culture.


• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, regulatory, and internal safety standards.


• Oversee incident investigations, corrective actions, workers' compensation processes, audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.


• Manage critical safety and environmental programs including contractor safety, LOTO, hearing conservation, chemical management, and permitting.


• Lead internal and external audits, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective action plans.


• Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and leadership teams.


• Serve as the primary HSE resource for the facility, partnering with leadership to drive engagement and accountability.


• Maintain environmental records, permits, certifications, and regulatory reporting requirements.


• Collaborate with site leadership to establish and execute annual HSE objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field preferred.


• 3-5+ years of Health, Safety & Environmental experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.


• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance requirements, and safety management systems.


• Excellent communication, leadership, and employee engagement skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CSP (Certified Safety Professional)


• ASP (Associate Safety Professional)


• CHMM or other HSE-related certifications
