Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a 6+ month, 1099 contractor role in Reno, NV. You will oversee safety for drywall and framing operations on a large data center project, lead safety trainings, and ensure compliance with JHAs and regulatory standards.

The role requires OSHA 30 Construction certification and 5+ years of construction safety experience, with duties spanning site inspections, incident investigations, and safety documentation maintenance.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction certification required.
• 5+ years of Construction Safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily safety activities for drywall and framing construction operations.
• Maintain a strong field presence and actively engage with supervisors and craft personnel.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Monitor elevated work activities, fall protection systems, and material handling operations.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Deliver new hire orientations and ongoing safety training.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans.
• Maintain accurate digital safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.
• Track workforce training, certifications, and project compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
• Serve as the project\'s eyes and ears by identifying risks before incidents occur.
• Promote a positive safety culture across the project.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $48 - $51/hr

Per Diem: $140/Day (7 Days Per Week)

Schedule: Mon-Friday: 6:00-2:30. Weekends as needed.
