Job summary

Clean Power Staffing is seeking a site safety lead to manage and implement the project’s Health & Safety Plan across a Kentucky site. You will conduct daily site inspections, lead safety meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and project requirements.

The role involves monitoring high-risk activities, investigating incidents, and coordinating emergency drills, with authority to stop unsafe work and support audits and client reviews.

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement the project’s site-specific Health & Safety Plan.
• Conduct daily site inspections, safety audits, and jobsite observations to identify and correct hazards.
• Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, orientations, and safety training.
• Develop and review JHAs/JSAs and ensure appropriate controls are implemented before work begins.
• Monitor high-risk activities including electrical work, LOTO, excavation, trenching, heavy equipment, lifting and rigging, working at heights, and energized work.
• Ensure employees and subcontractors comply with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and property damage and implement corrective actions.
• Track and report safety metrics, inspections, observations, corrective actions, and other required documentation.
• Manage subcontractor safety performance and ensure compliance with site safety standards.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and participate in emergency drills.
• Partner with project leadership to identify safety risks and develop practical solutions.
• Maintain accurate safety records and support client, owner, EPC, and regulatory audits.
• Promote a strong safety culture and have the authority to stop unsafe work when necessary.
