Location: Harrisburg, NC
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $27.00 per hour
Schedule:

  • Monday + Wednesday + Friday | 6 AM – 3 PM
  • Tuesday + Thursday | 8:30 AM – 6 PM
  • Occasional weekends

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Safety, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of safety leadership experience, training, and certifications will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, hazardous materials management, and workplace safety programs.
  • Safety certifications such as OSHA, CSP, ASP, CHST, or related credentials are a plus.
Experience Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Fleet Safety, Risk Management, or Occupational Safety.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and auditing workplace safety programs.
  • Knowledge of accident investigations, corrective actions, safety compliance, and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience conducting safety training, inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
  • Familiarity with fleet safety programs, environmental compliance, and incident management preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, hazardous materials, emergency preparedness, and workplace safety standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and leadership teams.
  • Experience managing safety documentation, training records, audits, and compliance reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Capabilities
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and use of hands throughout the workday.
  • Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl during inspections and audits.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds and occasionally more than 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, and outdoor environments.
  • Exposure to noise, moving equipment, airborne particles, varying temperatures, and other industrial conditions while following required safety protocols.
Job Duties
  • Coordinate and manage workplace safety, environmental health, and fleet safety programs for a single facility.
  • Develop, maintain, and audit site-specific safety management plans to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Lead accident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Partner with Human Resources and management teams to ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety inspections, audits, risk assessments, and employee safety training programs.
  • Maintain OSHA logs, compliance records, training documentation, and hazardous material communications.
  • Monitor environmental health concerns, workplace hazards, and exposure risks including noise, dust, chemicals, and ergonomics.
  • Support fleet safety initiatives, driver compliance programs, and related reporting requirements.
  • Analyze safety metrics and recommend improvements that reduce risk and promote a culture of safety.
