Job summary

Lithko Contracting in Charlotte, NC region is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee all safety-related needs on construction projects. You will engage onsite teams, lead daily safety planning, enforce PPE usage, and drive best practices to reduce incidents while ensuring compliance with company safety programs and client requirements.

The role requires CHST/BCSP certification and OSHA 30, the ability to walk job sites, lift materials, and work irregular hours including early morning placements.

Qualifications

• Capable of walking and traversing a jobsite.
• Strong safety commitment and PPE compliance.
• Experience documenting safety records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to Craft in daily plan preparation and safety trainings.
• Review site activities to promote safe practices and PPE usage.
• Complete internal and external safety documentation and reporting.
• Conduct multiple safety observations weekly.

Job Description The Role

Lithko Contracting is seeking a Safety Manager for our Charlotte, NC region. The Safety Manager is responsible for all safety-related needs on a project. This role reviews and engages team members onsite, ensuring proper preparedness and execution of safety protocols and procedures. This Safety Manager works with the client and the Territory Safety Lead to ensure Lithko is meeting and exceeding the safety program goals while completing the necessary reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and support to Craft in Daily Plan Preparation (DPP) and Operational Activity Trainings (OAT) engagement.
• Reviews all work activities on site during their shift to promote safe work practices and appropriate PPE usage by engaging craft and holding others accountable to influence behavioral change.
• Completes all necessary internal and external safety related documentation and paperwork as it relates to their shift and phase of work.
• Completed multiple safety observations per week.

Requirements & Preferences

• Capable of walking and traversing a jobsite at all hours.
• CHST/BCSP Certification required
• Holds OSHA 30 Certification
• Can lift heavy materials and move equipment throughout a jobsite or equipment/materials yard.
• Willing to work odd hours (Early Morning Concrete Placements) and overtime as needed.
