Job summary

McAninch Corporation, Des Moines, IA, is offering a 2027 College Internship in Safety Management for May–August 2027. Interns will work with our Safety Team to monitor safe working conditions for employees, participate in safety audits, coaching, incident investigations, and training, and help ensure regulatory compliance on job sites.

Qualifications

Current college student pursuing a degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, or a related program.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work outside in hot, cold, and wet conditions.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from job sites as required.
US Citizenship required. This position is NOT eligible for Visa Sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist Safety Team with safety audits, coaching, incident investigations, and training.
Monitor construction sites to help assure compliance with relevant government regulations.
