Nestlé Purina is seeking a Safety Management Development Associate to train and develop a safety-focused career path within our manufacturing operations. The program emphasizes learning across quality assurance, supply chain, engineering, HR, production, R&D, information systems, and operations performance, with safety as the top priority.

• Open to relocation to Nestlé Purina manufacturing sites across the U.S. as part of the MDA program.
• Rotation may start at Crete (NE), Clinton (IA), or Davenport (IA) factories.

Position Summary

For more than 30 years, our Management Development Associateprogram has developed our future leaders.As a Management Development Associate,you willembark on a personal and professional development experience a classroomsimplycan’toffer.

As a Safety Management Development Associate at Nestlé Purina,we will coach you from the start, shaping your career trajectory for continuous learning and growth. Together,we’llexplore quality assurance, supply chain, engineering, human resources, production, R&D engineering, information systems, and operations performance to understand how each of these areas collaborate with safety. You’ll learn quickly that safety is our number one priority and we want our associates to go home the same way they came in. Throughout your time in our MDA program, you will gain experience in implementing risk assessment processes, making safety improvement recommendations, and delivering comprehensive safety trainings to new hires and contractors.

• Implement and utilize assessment and risk prediction processes to ensure effective identification, communication, and mitigation of workplace hazards
• Make recommendations for safety improvements throughout the factory
• Provide effective safety training that includes safety orientation programs for new hires and contractors
• Organize, coordinate, and conduct training for the factory safety committee
• Model and enforce compliance of internally and externally mandated safety regulations and procedures
• Serve as a resource to all factory employees, providing exceptional customer service

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health or related discipline attained or expected by June 2027
• Must be open to relocation to any of our 24 Nestlé Purina manufacturing sites across the U.S. as you progress through the MDA program
• You will start your rotation for this Safety MDA at one of the following Nestlé Purina factories: Crete, Nebraska; Clinton, Iowa; or Davenport, Iowa

Other

• Prior internship, co-op, practicum or manufacturing experience preferred
• Involvement in student organizations and/or other leadership experience preferred

Thestarting payfor this position is$80,000per year. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
