Summary of Responsibilities:

We’re looking for a Safety Program Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for the construction and vegetation management safety liaisons. ATC’s safety program is structured to address the uniqueness of ATC as a transmission-only utility that operates as a management company. ATC utilizes the support of a contracted workforce to design, construct, and maintain the electric system. This position is a key coordination point for interactions between applicable departments within ATC, local distribution company contractors, and construction contractors on matters related to safety.
Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you’ll use your associate’s degree with coursework in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or a related discipline to manage, execute, and coach on matters related to safety liaisons with internal and external stakeholders across the footprint. The role is key to preventing serious injuries and fatalities, as it is responsible for the development, management, and continuous improvement of the safety liaison program components, risks, communications, and maturity. The team needs an individual who can partner directly with the safety liaisons and contractors to mature safety cultures across the footprint. The ability to build trusting relationships and listen to multiple perspectives will help us lead with influence and accountability, driving meaningful changes to safety cultures, processes, and training.
To be an impactful team member, this role will need to engage with safety liaisons and contractors regularly at sites across our footprint, ensuring open communication and collaboration. It will also spend time in the office using your analytical skills to analyze safety data trends, prepare communications to share with stakeholders, and collaborate on changes to other safety program components.
