Job summary

Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC) is seeking a Safety Specialist for our Chillicothe, IL facility. The role focuses on promoting a strong safety culture, conducting daily inspections, and ensuring OSHA compliance for a busy warehouse operation.

The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years in safety or logistics, strong communication skills, and experience in incident investigations. This is a first shift position; join a team dedicated to proactive workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 1-5 years of safety, warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or transportation experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety best practices.
• Strong communication, training, and employee engagement skills.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
• Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and observations to identify and correct workplace hazards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, customer requirements, and safety procedures.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, near misses, and safety concerns, while documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead safety meetings, training sessions, and new hire safety orientations.
• Track and maintain safety records, training documentation, and compliance reports.
• Partner with operations leadership to address safety concerns and proactively reduce workplace risks.
• Support return-to-work programs, injury case management, and workers' compensation processes.
• Monitor facility safety performance and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote employee engagement in safety programs and encourage a proactive approach to workplace safety.
