Job summary

Keeley Construction is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety efforts for the Commercial Building Group in St. Louis, MO. The role focuses on coordinating safety across projects, managing subcontractor safety teams, and developing training to improve site performance.

The position emphasizes collaboration with operations, field leadership, and quarterly safety improvements, with a strong focus on risk reduction and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of safety related experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations with emphasis in construction.
• CSP, CIH, CHST, OHST, STS-C, ASP, CUSP or similar certification preferred.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with commercial construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety on multiple projects with metrics to measure safety performance.
• Direct management of subcontractor and contracted safety personnel.
• Assist in developing training and education presentations for jobsite and classroom use.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to deliver a consistent safety message.
• Develop project safety plans and facilitate pre-activity meetings.
• Conduct after action reviews and assist in RCAs for severe events.
• Monitor PPE supply and promote safety health awareness through conversations.
