Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Safety Professional to partner with field teams across high-profile data center projects in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area and nearby Air Force base. You will plan, implement, and continuously improve safety programs, promoting a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance on dynamic construction sites.

This field-based role requires travel between sites, five-day weeks plus a half-day Saturday, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of construction experience in field environments.
• OSHA 30 certification and ability to obtain CHST within 90 days.
• Ability to travel regularly between project sites within the Omaha area.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments across civil, site, and vertical construction projects.
• Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed incident reports.
• Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of company safety programs and initiatives.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to field personnel and coach crews on safe work practices.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, logs, and compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Inspect equipment, vehicles, and job sites regularly to verify safe working conditions and adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with field teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with excavation, utilities, grading, slip and fall hazards, and heavy equipment operations.
