Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking personnel to perform safety inspection services for trucks and equipment. You will assist drivers with daily post-trip inspections and conduct safety checks during Safety Lane and PMs, ensuring adherence to safety standards.

You will communicate issues to technicians, discuss preventive techniques, and complete required paperwork and data entry. A strong emphasis on ethics and dependable work habits is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety inspection processes for heavy- and light-duty trucks.
• Ability to interpret OSHA-related safety policies and procedures.
• Good communication with drivers and technicians during safety checks.

Responsibilities

Job description

Knowledge and ability to perform safety inspection services with general knowledge related to heavy duty and light duty trucks. This may include gasoline, diesel and CNG Systems.
Essential Job Functions

• Aid/assist drivers in completion of the daily Post trip and vehicle safety inspection process.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment during Safety Lane and PM's.
• Communication with A & B technicians /drivers as to issues with vehicles and discusses preventative techniques that may minimize future repairs.
• Completes all required paperwork / computer data entry that may be required.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards which may include sweeping, organizing and maintaining the safety lane area.
• Maintain high standard of Ethics and Dependability.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• On occasion, assist division by performing route observations to ensure safety procedures are followed. Complete route observation reports and discuss observations with drivers and helpers including safety issues, customer calls, route cleanliness and truck appearance. Identify training needs and review with driver. Maintain extra gloves/safety glasses, flyers, door hangers, pads, recycling bins and carts as applicable in vehicle.
