Job summary

Jordan’s is offering a Safety Intern position to work alongside the Safety Manager, leading a project and developing safety training materials. You’ll gain hands-on experience across safety operations and participate in initiatives that promote a strong safety culture across New England stores.

The role requires pursuing a degree in Operations, Management, or Occupational Health and Safety, excellent communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Operations Team with re-imagining the J-Team Safety Experience.
• Take ownership of a Safety project that will drive safety initiatives across the organization.
• Create and edit safety training videos and presentations.
• Gain hands-on experience across safety operations including OSHA compliance and state programs (Power Industrial Trucks, BBP, LOTO) and systems such as Pulpstream, SharePoint, and Velocity SDS management portals.
• Support safety meeting initiatives to reinforce safe work practices and raise OSHA awareness.

This is a 10-week paid internship, starting June 7th 2027 based in East Taunton, MA, with opportunities to visit retail store locations throughout New England

What You’ll Do:

• Assist the Safety Operations Team with re-imagining the J-Team Safety Experience.

• Gain hands‑on experience across all areas of safety operations including compliance requirements for various OSHA and applicable state programs Power Industrial Trucks, BBP, LOTO) and systems such as Pulpstream, SharePoint, and Velocity SDS management portals.
• Support safety meeting initiatives to reinforce safe work practices, to provide awareness of OSHA and other federal, state and local regulations, and to generally promote a strong safety culture.
• Partner with operations employees to aid in integrating safety into the daily operations increasing safety knowledge.
• Research industry trends and Safety best practices.
• Any other function or responsibility as assigned by the department.

Who You Are:

• A rising college junior or senior pursing a degree in Operations, Management, or Occupational Health and Safety.
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• A proactive, self‑motivated individual with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay Rate: $23.00/hour. We share our pay rate because transparency matters. This reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role based on experience and performance.
