Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company seeks a Sr. Safety & Health Leader to provide technical guidance to plant management and staff across multiple facilities.

You will educate operations personnel on hazard recognition, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance, and assist in developing risk management processes for the area. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mining/aggregates safety, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Construction Management, Organizational Development or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in mining/aggregates safety.
• Knowledge of MSHA/OSHA safety and health regulations, inspection, compliance and enforcement procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and health programs across Vulcan facilities and field locations.
• Conduct MSHA and OSHA compliance inspections and audits.
• Develop and deliver Safety & Health training programs.
• Advise management on risk assessments and regulatory compliance.
