Job summary

Jobtailor in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Site SH&E Leader to champion safety, health, and environmental programs across a high-volume packaging and warehousing facility. You will lead a Site Leadership Team, coach managers, and drive continuous improvement in compliance and performance.

Responsibilities include developing SH&E priorities, auditing readiness, incident investigations, and mentoring cross-functional teams while ensuring regulatory alignment with OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering or SH&E-related field or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years’ experience in SH&E roles in manufacturing settings.
• Site-level SH&E leadership experience is preferred.
• Certifications such as CSP/CIH/OHST/NEBOSH are beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001, LEAN and TPM concepts.

Job description

• Champion the SH&E function for a high-volume packaging facility and warehouse facility
• Participate on the Site Leadership Team
• Lead, coach, and develop managers and line leaders across all functions
• Develop Site SH&E priorities, drivers, activities, and KPIs to improve performance
• Maintain continuous audit-ready compliance with company policies and external regulatory requirements
• Develop best-in-class SH&E programs, systems, processes, training, and mentoring
• Implement and utilize risk assessment and risk prediction processes to identify and mitigate hazards
• Investigate SH&E-related incidents, identify root causes, and define recurrence-prevention actions
• Ensure recurrence-prevention actions and injury case management processes are effectively implemented
• Develop Site SH&E talent through support, coaching, and feedback
• Provide technical expertise and coaching across SH&E initiatives
• Contribute to Corporate and site SH&E sustainability initiatives, strategies, programs, and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or engineering subject area or SH&E-related field, or significant SH&E professional experience in lieu of a degree
• 7–10 years’ experience in SH&E roles
• Last position held as a Site SH&E leader and/or division, regional, or corporate safety and environmental experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• Professional SH&E certifications such as CSP, CIH, OHST, or NEBOSH are beneficial
• Understanding of ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001, LEAN, and TPM concepts
• Detailed knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
• Solid technical understanding of SH&E issues and their relationship to production/engineering and job functions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, self-initiative, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Ability to build cross-functional teams and drive sustainable organizational change
• Ability to communicate effectively and explain sophisticated regulatory and technical issues in lay terms
• Proficiency with Windows-based applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to master specialized software
• Ability to achieve results through dotted-line situations
