Job summary

Jobtailor in Massachusetts seeks an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Leader to manage and continuously improve the EHS program across manufacturing operations. You will oversee incident investigations, compliance, training, and staff leadership, collaborating with corporate leadership and external agencies to maintain top-tier safety performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, OSHA 30, and a minimum of 7 years in EHS with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a closely related field is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in environmental, health, and safety roles.
  • At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Direct responsibility for EHS program management, regulatory compliance, and incident investigation in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA general industry and/or construction standards (29 CFR 1910 / 1926), EPA regulations, and applicable state/local EHS requirements.
  • Ability to develop and implement EHS management systems such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or VPP frameworks.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including regulatory submittals, internal reports, and training materials.
  • OSHA 30-Hour (General Industry or Construction) – Required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the Environmental, Health, and Safety program
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, and programs
  • Lead incident investigations, workers compensation, root cause analyses, and corrective action plans

  • Manage EHS budgets, resources, and vendor relationships
  • Act as primary point of contact during regulatory inspections, audits, and emergency response situations
  • Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies, corporate leadership, and external stakeholders
