Job summary

Eurofins Food & Feed Testing is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop practical engineering solutions that eliminate workplace hazards across our laboratory network. This role focuses on designing, validating, and implementing engineered controls that enhance employee safety while maintaining process quality and performance.

You will lead projects from concept through implementation, create drawings and specifications, develop prototypes, and validate solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in design, automation, or manufacturing.
• Experience taking projects from concept to implementation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with fabrication vendors or machine shops.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engineering controls for hazard reduction.
• Lead projects from concept through implementation.
• Create drawings, specs, and design packages.
• Validate prototypes and test solutions.
• Coordinate with operations and vendors for deployment.
• Support installation and startup activities.
