Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor in Texas to oversee a maintenance shop handling preventive maintenance and repairs for trucks (diesel and alt fuel), containers, and other heavy equipment. The role focuses on safe, timely work and compliance with regulations.

You will lead a team of technicians, schedule repairs, and ensure high standards of safety. Responsibilities include mentoring staff, maintaining parts inventory, and coordinating with management on performance

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in a lead technician role or management role with safety/compliance knowledge.
• Experience with DOT/OSHA and other federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to technicians to ensure safe, efficient repairs.
• Monitor performance and redirect activities as needed.
• Report performance and propose process or program improvements.
• Supervise shop technicians including daily huddles, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Inspect outside repairs for safety and compliance.
• Oversee inventory control and budget within approval limits.
