Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Conyers, GA, is seeking a Manager, Production to lead safety-first manufacturing operations across multiple shifts. The role focuses on ensuring on-time delivery, labor efficiency, and continuous improvement with a team of Supervisors and 260+ staff.

The position drives lean initiatives, labor optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Planning, and Logistics to anticipate bottlenecks and improve performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or related field; 10+ years leadership in manufacturing.
• 5–7 years of progressive leadership in high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience managing 200+ headcount and leading supervisors.
• Deep understanding of labor efficiency, capacity planning, and line balancing.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Toyota Production System experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety-first culture and regular floor walks and JSA with supervisors.
• Own daily/weekly schedules to ensure on-time delivery and optimize labor.
• Monitor headcount and flex labor to bottlenecks across lines.
• Drive OpEx initiatives, Kaizen events, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, and Logistics to prevent bottlenecks.
